Google has developed a new tool Sodar, to help smartphone users maintain the Social distance in the need of the hour. it can be used using the smartphone’s camera to calculate the distance between people.

Sodar program interface uses WebXR to visualize two metre (2 Metre) social-distancing guidelines in your environment, as per the Google.

As on now, Sodar is only available using Chrome on Android. you can visit the website in your phone and tap on ‘launch’ to activate the tool, after which it will create an AR two-meter radius ring around you.

The circle moves and keeps you in the centre, even when you are moving around. When someone breaches the two-meter distance mark, the tool will give a visual warning to the user.
